There’s something special about stepping into Disney's Hollywood Studios. From the moment you walk through the gates, the park surrounds you with movie magic, incredible attractions, and some of the most immersive lands Disney has ever created. But for us, one area completely stole the show: Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.

During our visit for Holmes Away From Home, it honestly felt less like visiting a theme park and more like being transported into another world.

Stepping Into Galaxy’s Edge

The transition into Galaxy’s Edge is incredible. One minute you are walking through Hollywood Studios, and the next you are standing on the planet Batuu surrounded by towering ships, distant sounds of engines, and characters roaming the streets in full costume.

Seeing the life size Millennium Falcon in person is one of those moments that instantly makes you stop and stare. Photos do not do it justice. Every detail makes you feel like you are truly inside the Star Wars universe.

Every corner of the land feels alive. From the marketplaces and themed food stands to the hidden details throughout the buildings, Disney created an experience that feels incredibly real and immersive.

Attractions That Bring the Adventure to Life

One of the biggest highlights was experiencing Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. This attraction is more than just a ride. It combines storytelling, special effects, and massive sets into one of the most impressive theme park experiences we have ever seen.

We also loved Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, where guests actually get to pilot the Millennium Falcon themselves. Whether you are flying, repairing systems, or operating the weapons, every ride feels a little different.

Even just walking around the land became part of the experience. Stormtroopers patrol the area, cast members stay in character, and the atmosphere constantly pulls you deeper into the story.

More Than Just Star Wars

While Galaxy’s Edge was the main focus of our visit, Hollywood Studios has so much more to offer. The park blends thrilling attractions with classic Disney entertainment in a way that makes every part of the day exciting.

From the energy of Toy Story Land to the nostalgic Hollywood atmosphere throughout the park, there is something around every corner that makes you stop and take it all in.

The park also continues to evolve with new entertainment, updated experiences, and exciting additions that keep fans coming back year after year.

Why We Loved This Visit

One of the best parts of this trip was simply slowing down and enjoying the atmosphere. Sometimes the most memorable moments are not the rides themselves, but the little experiences in between: grabbing a snack, hearing the music throughout the park, or watching families experience Disney magic together.

Filming this adventure for our channel made it even more special because we were able to capture those moments and share them with our viewers.

Hollywood Studios is not just a park you visit. It is a place that pulls you into the stories you grew up watching.

Final Thoughts

If you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort, Hollywood Studios absolutely deserves a spot on your itinerary. Whether you are a lifelong Star Wars fan, a thrill ride lover, or simply someone looking for an unforgettable Disney experience, this park delivers something unique from start to finish.

And if Galaxy’s Edge is on your must see list, trust us. It is every bit as incredible as you imagine.
