In just two weeks, we will be packing our bags and heading to one of the most historic cities in the United States—Washington DC. This trip has been on our list for a long time, and now that the countdown is officially on, the planning phase is in full swing.

As with all of our adventures, we believe great trips start long before you arrive. Over the past few weeks, we have been diving into YouTube videos, reading travel blogs, and exploring online travel sites like Expedia to map out what we want to see, what we want to film, and how to make the most of our time in the Nation’s Capital.

Researching Before We Roll

One of our favorite parts of trip planning is research. Watching recent YouTube videos has helped us see what the city looks like right now, how crowded certain attractions can be, and what filming opportunities might work best for our channel. We love hearing real traveler tips, learning from other creators, and picking up small details you don’t always find on official tourism sites.

We have also been comparing attractions, museum hours, and nearby food options so we can build realistic filming days without feeling rushed. Washington DC offers so much to see that having a game plan is key.

What We’re Planning to Film

Our goal for this trip is to capture all the major attractions that make Washington DC such a powerful destination. From iconic monuments lining the National Mall to the incredible Smithsonian museums, this city is a storyteller’s dream.

Some highlights already on our filming list include:

  • The breathtaking museums that showcase art, history, and innovation
  • The monuments that symbolize the foundation of our country
  • Ford's Theatre, a place filled with powerful history
  • Walkthroughs of the city that give you a true feel for DC beyond the postcards

We want to show not just what these places look like, but what it feels like to experience them in person.

Planning With Purpose

This trip is extra special as the United States approaches its 250th birthday, and being in Washington DC during this historic moment feels incredibly meaningful. Our planning reflects that—we want to be respectful, informative, and immersive with our content.

By planning ahead, we can focus on filming, storytelling, and enjoying the experience once we arrive, rather than scrambling to figure things out last minute.

What’s Next

Over the next two weeks, we will continue refining our itinerary, locking in filming times, and sharing behind-the-scenes updates as we get closer to departure. If you love history, travel, and seeing America through fresh eyes, this Washington DC series is one you won’t want to miss.

Stay tuned—our DC adventure is almost here, and we cannot wait to bring you along for every step of it.
